John picked up a yoyo at age four after seeing Andrew Conde, the brother of yoyo superstar Ben Conde, on TV. He soon went on to be the most decorated yoyo competitor within the Midwest Region of the USA. John joined Monkeyfinger in 2017 and is now focused on engaging new yoyo players through his quick-witted standup comedy shows that incorporate yoyo routines!
Joseph has been yoyoing since 2013 when his older brother introduced him to the hobby by giving him a yoyo from a local comic shop. Soon after, he was further inspired by attending the 2013 Bay Area Classic and has been yoyoing for fun ever since. Joseph joined the MonkeyfingeR team in 2019.
Ray is the Founder/Owner of MonkeyfingeR Design, Creative Lead for all MonkeyfingeR products, and "all-round" mad scientist. He works in the Franken Lab each day with Cranky to create all of the crazy anodizing schemes that have made MonkeyfingeR famous. Ray is supported by his fantastic family and crew.
Robb was introduced to the yoyo by his kids and found it a great way to spend quality time with them. Being a professional sleight-of-hand magician in Las Vegas, he is a big kid at heart and got roped into the yoyo game. Robb works as a Brand Marketing Executive for a Fortune 200 company. He spends his evenings cheating at the card table (for corporate entertainment purposes only) and throwing yoyos.
It all started in 2010 when Sergey got his first yoyo on his birthday. A year later Sergey worked in a Russian toy store where he taught basic tricks and trick circles to kids. With excellent communication skills, Sergey was bringing new throwers into the community almost daily. In 2012, he participated in his first yoyo contest. After four years of playing, he attended the Russian Nats in Moscow for the first time. Sergey joined MonkeyfingeR and helps us create cool and unusual videos. Pretty good for a guy from cold Russia.
Trevor is a hybrid long string, pizza-eating yoyo master! Running social media coverage for MFD by day and estranged return-topper by night. Owner operator of Darksyd Revolution, and team lead of the Long String Mafia Crew.
These days, Tyler enjoys helping with contests rather than competing. He is a regular organizer of the Idaho state yoyo contest, and he frequently judges the Utah and Idaho state contests. Tyler signature yoyo is the Prime8, and it still makes him smile when he sees people using it. Tyler studied nuclear operations and is now working at a nuclear clean up site. He is always down to help someone learn a new trick, so if you see him at a contest, give him a shout.
Will picked up yoyos in 2011 when he started working for Learning Express Toys, a toy store that specializes in return tops and skill toys. He became a part of the MonkeyfingeR team in 2014. Since then become a serious 5A player and has had a hand in designing the Tri-B and Aotus (Will’s new signature return top).
MonkeyfingeR’s muscle with the motto that “nothing is too heavy to handle... including MonkeyfingeR Ray.” Not-so-good at taking directions in the FrankenLab. Massive pain in the a**.
Robert "Fullcountrob" picked up a yoyo when he was 12 years old, and from that point, he was hooked on skill toys. From there he learned to juggle, Diablo, kendama and even card throw. All of this led to him picking up begleri and since that day he has not put them down. Now he's determined and on a mission to spread the word about begleri one video at a time.
Ben has been slinging for more than four years and loves thinking outside of the box. Creating a variety of tricks is his forte. “I do begleri every single day, and it’s the best thing in the whole wide world”. Not only does it put a smile on Ben’s face but also the faces of people watching. He loves to show other people the real art of begleri.
Jakub has been doing rad stuff forever. From a young age, he loved watching shows like Nitro Circus and fell in love with action sports. They were a perfect way to express himself. When he discovered begleri it was like being a kid again. Playing begleri is something he can do anywhere and anytime. Learning tricks and creating new ways to play was something he finds incredibly fun. He hopes that these little beads will bring everyone the same joy they bring him.
Jay has played with skill toys ever since he was little. It all began with yoyos, then Astrojax, then kendama, and then back to yoyos. One night in 2016, while surfing the internet looking for new yoyos, Jay came across begleri. He was instantly hooked and immediately contacted Ray for a custom set of Ape Grapes. When not feeding his love for cars and begleri, he works full time to satisfy his hunger for bacon and anime.
Riley has been "slinging" begleri since 2016. He resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Riley enjoys adding new elements to his begleri tricks, which includes several complicated two-handed routines.
A few years ago, Zac watched a slinging video online and had no clue what it was. After searching through hashtags, he figured it out, and from then on, he was obsessed. Zac created a homemade set from hex nuts before he discovered MonkeyfingeR. Zac hails from Manchester in the UK where he studies photography at university and happily works with MonkeyfingeR Design.
Glen is an Instructor and Seminarian. He has 2 Bachelor Degrees, yet still finds time to be one of the best Tiki Rollers around. His speed is unsurpassed, pushing the limits of this little-skill toy to the max. You'll never find him without his favourite Tiki roller. He has also created many DIY rollers and helps us design and push the limits of this newly-skilled toy.
Stephen has been turning tricks with knuckle rollers since 2017, though he has dabbled in many skill toys since the late 90s. He likes the versatility Tikirollerz brings to the knuckle roller game – being able to go from roller to begleri in a matter of seconds. Plus, Stephen shares his passion for knuckle rollers everywhere he goes and will continue to spin them til his fingers fall off.
